Learn more about what to expect during your massage, reiki or aquatic bodywork session with experienced Certified Massage Therapist, Julie Lefmann.

  • For mobile massage in your home or vacation rental, Julie brings everything needed so that you can just relax. Please leave a nearby parking space for her to bring in her heavy table & supplies. Please clean the bathroom that Julie will use but please do not feel the need to clean your entire home or vacation rental for the mobile massages. Julie brings the massage table, massage sheets, music, aromatherapy, & if needed, prenatal pillows and a stool to get onto the table. Julie arrives at the time you agreed upon, then brings in her supplies & sets up the table/space for about 15-20 minutes. Then you receive your massages & Julie takes care of cleaning up & leaving no trace. You’ll pay her & she will leave you to relax.

  • No, there is no THC in the CBD massage oil that Julie uses & no, you will not feel high.

  • You may begin receiving prenatal massages from Julie at any week in your pregnancy. Once you are at 12 weeks, Julie will use the side-lying technique with pillows to support you. An incline wedge will be used when you are on your back facing up. Julie always asks permission before lightly massaging your belly to say hello to your baby/babies.

  • Julie recommends receiving your 1st postpartum massage somewhere between days 7 and 10 postpartum for a vaginal delivery & after 2 weeks for a Cesarean birth. If you’ve had a Cesarean delivery,  your postpartum massage with Julie will position you on your side for the 1st 6 weeks postpartum. Postpartum massages are the perfect time to take advantage of Julie’s mobile massages in your home.

  • During a Reiki (pronounced Ray-kee) session, Julie places her hands on your body in different places, sending energy to places that need it. There is a lot of Presence & stillness in a Reiki session. The intention of Reiki is to allow the body to heal itself. Reiki can be combined with any other massage, and is a great way to rebalance and energize ourselves.

  • If you enjoyed your session, it is customary & so appreciated to tip your massage therapist between 15 & 25% for a great massage.

  • Both Julie & the Watsu client will be wearing bathing suits & will meet just outside the warm pool. Julie will invite you into the water where you will both get acclimated to the warm water & go over what to expect during the session. She will wrap floats around your lower legs that hold with Velcro, & ask you about your body & anything you would like to share with her before the aquatic bodywork session begins. You will breathe together for a moment before she “picks you up” into her arms and slowly stretches, massages & floats you in warm water bliss. If you’d like, you can choose to put on noseclips (provided by Julie) & go under the surface for Waterdance & Healing Dance. The session will close with Julie “parking” your back against the pool wall & letting go of your hands, moving away so you can take your time opening your eyes & coming back to Earth.
