Hawaiian Lomilomi
An ancient Hawaiian massage, patterned after the rhythms of the ocean. Lomilomi is a nurturing, flowing, gentle but invigorating “massage hula,” done with lots of forearm work and long, continuous strokes. I have completed 4 Hawaiian lomilomi courses over the years.
CBD Massage
CBD Massage has been gaining in popularity in recent years for good reason. Research has shown that it can reduce inflammation, soothe muscles, and have a positive effect on pain, anxiety, and sleep. My CBD massage oil of choice features a combination of six herbs along with the organic hemp CBD (no THC), & and it is high in antioxidants.
Swedish
The classic Swedish massage method soothes sore muscles, while leaving the client relaxed.
Deep Tissue
Deep Tissue Massage is an intense massage to specific areas that store chronic pain and tension. Can reduce pain, inflammation, and spasms, and can be combined with Swedish.
Prenatal, Induction, and Postpartum Massage
The side-lying technique uses pillows & a wedge to make sure that mothers-to-be are comfortable during their Prenatal Massage. This massage helps relieve discomfort related to pregnancy. Prenatal Massage also aids in facilitating transitions through support and physical nurturing, while fostering maternal touch. In Hawaii, prenatal massage is called Hapai. Induction massage is offered from 38 weeks on and includes acupressure points to try to stimulate labor. Postpartum Massage is so very important for so many reasons, emotionally and physically. Mobile massage is great for Postnatal Massage.
Reiki
Reiki, pronounced “ray-key,” is a Japanese word that means “universal life force energy.” My hands are placed in various positions on the body to transmit this energy and allow the body to heal itself. Reiki can be combined with any other massage, and is a great way to rebalance and energize ourselves. Trained in 2004 by Reiki Master Chelsea VanKoughnett, The Reiki Alliance.
Aquatic Bodywork
Aquatic Bodywork, or water massage, encompasses many modalities including Watsu, Waterdance, Healing Dance and more. It is performed in a heated pool (usually around body temperature). I have been a Certified Watsu Practitioner since 2004, & have also completed Waterdance & Healing Dance courses. You can choose to stay at the surface or to be guided underwater with noseclips. It is a unique experience and can be very profoundly healing.
Sound Healing
Add singing bowls to your massage, reiki or Watsu session. Singing bowls can help with stress relief, relaxation, mood and more. For some, sound baths can be healing and transformative. You are in a safe and welcoming space, connecting with your breath, hearing and feeling vibrations from instruments aiming to calm your nervous system and open your heart.
